I thought I would sign in again, as my daughter is looking at setting up a blog to promote her cupcake business .... so I am reading through my posts and thinking did I really write that??
What was I thinking :) Well actually I was thinking why don't I have the time to post stuff. I think since the blogs began we have been invaded by Facebook and Twitter which encourages us to just say a few lines... and we are bombarded with so much information via these social media that we can't be bothered to read an article... I must admit I am guilty of the same but I do get the odd long email with lots of information that I will read (via my blackberry), but never pass onto anyone as it would involve me logging onto my email account and forwarding.... for that reason I hardly send out the 'fwd' emails unless absolutely necessary - I have a facebook account yes I admit, but have limited it to people that I actually know and talk to normally and use it for updates which are beneficial and useful reminders for me...
Majority of my time now is spent working and when I am not working family...although again I must confess I havent quite got the work-life balance right yet as I do spend many evenings working on work-related stuff whether it's professional development or legal research!!
I still procrastinate a lot which I think will never change......less said the better methinks:)
My uzi is still the same, challenging me daily as a mother :) although most of the time I am glad he keeps me on my toes, life would be too easy without the odd parenting challenge - subhanAllah
I dont have much time increasing my Islamic knowledge as I wish I could i still attend study circles and when I can attend weekend courses but I rarely sit down to read a good book on a specific topic I would love to do that more inshAllah.....
Still active in the community, I love to do my bit and get involved any which way I can, the situation with my local masjid is more or less the same they outlaw women haha ok they let us in but not to make decisions! It is frustrating sometimes the lack of progress but I suppose Rome was not built in a day!!
Still living in the same mini house as when I started bloggin in 2006! Maybe it is time for a change with this one?!!
